Wisdom Tale
A hunter was caught in a storm and took shelter beneath a tree. In that tree lived a pigeon whose mate had been trapped by the same hunter.
Seeing the hunter cold and hungry, the pigeon still offered hospitality. He gathered dry leaves and lit a small fire for warmth.
The hunter was ashamed. The compassion of those he harmed opened his conscience. He freed the trapped bird and gave up cruelty.
