Wisdom Tale
On the bank of a river stood a fruit tree where a cheerful monkey lived. Every day he ate sweet fruits and watched the river flow. One day, a crocodile came near the tree. The monkey, generous by nature, offered him some fruits.
The crocodile enjoyed them and began visiting often. A friendship grew between the two. The crocodile also carried fruits home to his wife. After tasting them, she became greedy and thought, "If the fruits are so sweet, the monkey who eats them daily must have an even sweeter heart."
She asked her husband to bring the monkey to her. The crocodile was troubled but gave in to her demand. He invited the monkey to visit his home across the river and offered to carry him on his back.
Halfway across the river, the crocodile confessed the truth: his wife wanted the monkey's heart. The monkey did not panic. He said, "Friend, why did you not tell me earlier? I left my heart on the tree. Take me back and I will bring it."
The foolish crocodile turned back. As soon as they reached the tree, the monkey jumped to safety and said, "No one leaves their heart behind. A friend who betrays trust cannot be trusted again."
