The Three Fish

Three fish lived in a pond. When fishermen planned to return with nets, the first fish left through a channel that very night.

The second waited but stayed alert. When caught, he pretended to be dead and escaped when thrown aside. The third laughed at fear and did nothing.

The third was taken. The story remembers three responses to danger: preparation, adaptability, and denial.
